Store updates are fine — overwriting your saved projections is not. A short orientation checklist we walk through in Causeway Bay.
The Windows build updates through Microsoft Store. Clients sometimes update mid-week and only later notice a folder of scenario exports went missing because they saved inside a temporary path.
Export before you update
Before accepting a Store update, export active scenarios to a folder you control — Documents or a cloud drive you already use. The calculator’s default temp path is convenient, not archival.
Confirm the parameter pack
After updating, open one familiar network and check that epoch length and commission fields still match what you expect. If a field reset to a demo value, your next estimate will look optimistic for the wrong reason.
